Phase II- Blood and Fire teaser released!!

Yes, how much longer are you going to make us wait for our free episodes that we're not paying a dime for? Hmm? HMMM?

:alienblush: Ok, Professor you got me on that one. Mr. Cawley, My sincerest apologies. I enjoy your episodes immensely and appreciate all of the work that everyone puts into the show that I forgot that I get to watch it for free. Again my apologies.
Heh heh... don't mind me, librarytrekker78. I'm not connected in any way, shape or form to the ST:PII production team--I'm just another fan of the series... and trust me, I'm just as eager to see this episode as you are!

Besides, if you think waiting a year for "Blood and Fire" is a long time, head over to the Starship Exeter discussion thread. :D

James Cawley has stated (and been quoted all over the web) that he is shooting for a Holloween release date for part 1.

I had the opportunity to see the rough cut of "Blood And Fire" at DragonCon in Atlanta Saturday evening.

I was enormously impressed. The story is emotional, harrowing and has scope. The production is a particularly complex one; over all, this may turn out to be the first really satisfying feature-length Trek fan film.

Polaris,

Glad you enjoyed the rough cut at Dragon*Con. It was fun for us to watch it alongside a real audience!

Best regards,
/carlos

Coming from the screenwriter of a competing amateur Trek production, that's really saying something. Now I really can't wait to see this!

Bear in mind that "The Tressaurian Intersection" is not "feature length;" rather, it's of roughly the length of a single TOS episode. It does remain my favorite fan film.

Bah, yet another fanfilm space battle. I as hoping for some substance instead of pyrotechnics.

Unless of course, the remainder of the episode(s) shows the events leading to said battle. Kinda like some episodes of Battlestar Galactica that escape my memory at this moment.

PS: Speaking of Exeter, does anyone know when the last part of "The Tressaurian Intersection" is going to come out?

I just watched the teaser .... pretty sure I dribbled a little ...

Nicely done James & Co. !

This looks fantastic-possibly their best work to date in terms of production values. I especially LOVE (LOVE!) the use of original TOS music, and hope that they do this in the final ep as much as possible.

I was among the people who saw something of a "rough cut" of BAF at Shore Leave in July, and I reall enjoyed the story. As usual, all of the technical asopects were awesome, but if you've watched TV for as long as I have, the ending is a bit obvious. Still, that didn't stop me from being moved by what happened.

While BAF is very good, World Enough and Time is still my favorite "independent production." BAF cemented its status as the "gold standard" against which all other productions will be judged. :techman::techman::techman::techman:

And yeah, where IS the end of that cool Exeter episode? If those folks would devote the time and energy to their stuff as Phase II does, they could definitely give Cawley and company a run for their money. :vulcan::vulcan::vulcan::vulcan:

You've got to be kidding.

The whole reason it HAS taken so long is because the Johnson Brothers want it to be as perfect as possible. Once you let it out online, that's it, there's no going back. They know this. They want their film to be the best it could possibly be. That's all. Unfortunately, real life has interfered as well, slowing them down even more.

Its one thing to appreciate the folks at NV/P2 for the work they are doing, but if you're going to start criticizing, you should get all the facts first.

Actually, I'm not kidding, and in addition, I'm not criticizing Exeter in the slightest. (Notice that I called the Exeter production "cool.") Everything i've seen of "Tressaurian" has been terrific, and putting it in the same general level as P2 is high praise from a person who's been supportive of many "independent productions" practically from the get-go.

On the other hand, I wish Exeter could get some of that speed-up water from "Wink of an Eye" simply because it's been great so far, and I'd love to see how it ends. Believe me, when that finale comes out, I'll be one of the first to view it!

That's one's almost suited to be a thread bomb -- something along the lines of "Cawley-Kirk can see you making out" or something like that.

Although, I like this poster too:
