Phase 2 and Refit Enterprise, revisited

This one started as a project to modernise, personalise and rework the Jefferies' design of the Enterprise for the aborted Star Trek Phase 2. As you can see, it ended up incorporating quite a bit of the refit for The Motion Picture. I guess it could also serve as an alternative for the reboot design. The larger size is simply to allow for better detailing, and to incorporate the "promenade", which you will see on the bottom and cutaway views.

I'm posting this as a WIP, essentially. I'll make more posts as I complete the other views, this time.

Great B/C decks…teardrop photon bay housing is original…outstanding neck-join….but the impulse deck overhang my favorite tweak of all.

Sure is! I love that top view of the ship - and now I’m looking at existing physical models of the 1701 that I own, and wondering how I can customise one to look like this!

A good update this mornin'. Quite a few things were bothering me.

I redrew the front part of the nacelles and lengthened the front of the engineering section, moved a few things around on the saucer and changed a number of details, and did some work on the impulse systems. It ended up looking more refit than Phase 2, but so be it.

I love the triangular detail on the front of the B/C deck and the impulse deck overhang.
