Unfortunately this time of year many of the Oscar nominees tend to show up online as fairly high quality downloads while the films are still in theaters.

I think the Academy voters are just trying to make a quick buck on the street.

...I don't think I'm interested in seeing Lovely Bones, even for free illegally.

I watched it online (not downloaded) over the holidays and enjoyed it, even if it did stray from the book (glossed over the rape and death of Suzie and the affair of the detective and the wife). I think Suzie's "heaven" or in-between was beautifully shot, and had lovely visuals that were enhanced from the book's description, through Suzie's eyes.

I'll buy the dvd when it comes out. A from me.

I think the affair between the detective and Suzie's mom was alluded to, in the scene where she meets him at the police station and when Jack calls the detective a "good friend", you see his reaction. I think it was one of the more subtle things about the film.
