Pet Squirrel?

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to have a pet squirrel. Squirrels are totally wild animals and do not make good pets. Most other domesticated animals took centuries to become that way.

BTW... to the person who called them rats with bushy tails.. Rats are way superior to squirrels any day. I have five! :bolian:

Haven't you ever wondered why people don't cage dogs and cats, yet almost without fail they keep exotic birds, reptiles, wild predatory mammals, insects and even monkeys confined in this manner?

I think it is at least partially because cats and dogs can be house/litter-trained while most of the other animals you've listed cannot.

Cats and dogs destroy property, too, and will keep doing it unless trained not to. They're not born knowing to not use that couch as a scratching post.

Most rodents can be litter trained, actually. I know lots of people who have free ranging rabbits that use their litter pan as faithfully as a human uses a toilet. My rats are litter trained.
