Pekia??? Proofreading is your friend. I fixed the title. With both having long lifespans, has Pekia ever run into him?

He moved to a different region and changed his hairstyle: grew/removed facial hair, shaved his head, dyed his hair... Pretty easy in an age before photography and ID required. No one in Renaissance Italy would know what Lazarus looks like. How many people in 1800s Germany would know what Leonardo looked like? Even if they noticed a resemblance, Brahms and Leonardo lived hundreds of years apart. It makes me wonder, how did Flint change his appearance back in the days before modern Plastic Surgery?
It's stated that he looked like completely different people in the past.
Flint has lived so long, but the appearance generally couldn't be changed & the earliest recorded reconstructive surgery was only in 1600 BC where they were fixing a broken nose.
Before the 20th century, reconstructive surgery was very primitive.
I wonder how he changed his appearance in the past before modern Reconstructive Surgery that can make you look like a different person?
True, assuming he wasn't horribly disfigured in the face or anywhere else easily visible, he could easily pass as another person and just have others stand in for paintings before the age of photography. He moved to a different region and changed his hairstyle: grew/removed facial hair, shaved his head, dyed his hair... Because Niépce's camera photographs required an extremely long exposure (at least eight hours and probably several days)
Probably why he went from being a scientist/artist/philosopher to being a rich guy.True, assuming he wasn't horribly disfigured in the face or anywhere else easily visible, he could easily pass as another person and just have others stand in for paintings before the age of photography.
The earliest photographic image (Photo Etching as it was called at the time) wasn't until 1822. But that iteration was lost and the only surviving photo etching was from 1826.
So there's a GIANT chunk of time where he could get away with becoming another Persona.
Only until after modern record keeping & photographic ID's would it be much more difficult to monitor a person since he would need "Friends in the Government" to modify personal government ID data.
Heavy makeup, fake horsehair beard, haircut, hair dye, changing his gait.
You didn't have to worry about it so much in the days before quick cross-country travel, cameras, DNA and fingerprints. Just go far away on foot or by horse/camel and nobody there would likely know you.
Even now, this brings a meme to mind:

Given the countless wives he has had over his > 6103 year life span, that would be VERY plausible.Imagine if they determined via genetic genealogy in the early 2020s that he was somebody's great x 10 grandfather.![]()
I'd prefer different species, that'd be FAR more interesting. That's an interesting question; is it better, plot-wise, to have all kinds of immortals/other alien species incognito on Earth at various times, or to have all of those belong to the same species?
Dr. Leonard McCoy later discovered that Akharin/Flint was finally dying, since his immortality had been sustained by Earth's complex fields; and had been sacrificed in the relocation to Holberg 917G.
Europe covers 4 million square miles (10 million square km) so it seems unlikely. Though I'm sure Pelia has "acquired" a few of Flint's works over the Centuries.Surprised at the replies, so far
I asked not to create SUS,, But. Both resemble Caucasian humans. If they stayed in Europe until ~23d century, isn't there a chance they would have heard of or meet each other?
Not sure she was into science prior to the 21st Century.Europe is large, but not that populated for most of the time. If both were living in the cities of most importance/scientific advancement, they might have been relatively near each other.
Good call as to Pelia having some of Flint's art.
Wasn't she dealing in Antique Junks in that time frame? Not sure she was into science prior to the 21st Century.![]()
