HEY DO YOU REMEMBER when "Enemy of the State" opened over a decade ago? It was the first movie to have a trailer for "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" play. The word spread so fast that the movie started selling out tickets JUST for the preview. When it was found out that people were literally leaving the movie after the trailer, the producers of "Enemy of the State" convince theaters to play the trailer before and AFTER the movie and required them to mention, when the ticket was bought, that it would play twice JUST to get people to stay and watch the movie.

He realized that the new movie was a re-boot afterall despite what JJ had told him! Pegg only wanted to be in the movie if it was strictly in original continuity.
He could have just been drunk. We British cry at the slightest of things when we're drunk. Alcohol brings our emotions to the surface. Like when you've had a few swift ones on a Saturday night and you get the drunken impression that a particular person is looking at you in the wrong way. I think the question was sarcastic, and this was ment to be a non-serious thread, but I will risk being a, what do you say, a "noob" and answer it - he probably saw himself playing an iconic character, one that he remembered from his childhood, and that coupled with how it would probably change his life made him emotional.
