Paul Kaye IS the 11th Doctor.

Well, it's true that I haven't heard about it anywhere else. But, I won't say more than that!

I assume this is a joke post?

I'm assuming the thread starter thinks it's funny.

(They don't start shooting S5 until mid-2009, and won't be casting anyone for a year, assuming Tennant doesn't stay.)

it is not impossible that RTDs (if he is still around) has in idea who he wants for the next Doctor, if David doesnt do S5, however I both hope & think he will.

That would suck to lose Tennant. We're getting TOO close to the number 13 in regards to regeneration!

Who's Paul kaye?
Dennis Pennis.
I don't even want to know.

Tough, I'm telling you anyway.

Dennis Pennis was a character Paul Kaye did. He was a journalist at red carpet affairs, and would ask embarrassing or stupid questions, and usually get the celebs to either say something unintentionally funny (from their perspective) or just annoy the hell out of them. Youtube video of his "Top 6".

We probably wont really know if Tennant is really leaving until we get to the end of the 4th season.
TBH things are so up in the air, I would not be surprised if the final specail has a cliffhanger, of will the Doctor regenerate or not, just to keep us guessing.

Thirteen doesn't mean a thing. If they reach that point, they'll do a story that gives the Doctor extra lives. :)

Quoted For Truth - it is canon that the Time Lords can do this, and they will make a comeback at some point.

Just because they can do that doesn't mean they should. I think it would be far more fascinating to see The Doctor face his mortality when he's on his final incarnation and how he finally faces death.

Besides, we won't reach that point for at least another decade.

Even if they chicken out in the end, I want to see that 13th Doctor finally facing his mortality, perhaps they could get David Hewlett to play him? ;)

im happy as long as the show recognises that something has to happen to allow the Doctor to regenerate more times than he should

even if its as little as

"that shouldnt have happen, but hey new teeth & I bet im ginger"

and then never answer why it happened, it works for Lost after all.
