Oh, is it time for stunt casting or gratuitous crossovers?
Considering they wanted Michael Dorn to appear for tuppence ha'penny and a stick of licorice, I doubt they would shell out what would be needed to secure Patrick Stewart.
Discovery's very own "These are the Voyages""From the back of the room Picard quietly surveys the bridge of the Discovery and it's crew as they go about their daily onboard lives, then he turns and walks towards a large open arched doorway, he speaks one last time as he walks under it, "Computer, end programme"..........The End........(Cue Discovery theme)![]()

Hear, hear.I'd rather he showed up on Legion than an incarnation of Trek which his character doesn't fit into at all.
I would prefer to see Patrick on The Orville, and it's much more likely since Seth can get him in anything.
It's really fairly likely that STD will do some stunt casting this season, so why not?
Hmmmm. If Patrick Stewart has cause to look at it soon, then I'm going to triple-down on my prediction about the Spore Drive. I've already double-downed on it.
Something has to happen to the Spore Drive for it to no longer be in use in TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY. I think Discovery is displaced in time and space and declared "lost". Throw what's gone on with Stamets into the mix, and Starfleet decides to just abandon it. I think they're re-introducing everything about the 23rd Century in DSC, so they can establish what's normal for the crew of Discovery before they disrupt it permanently. DSC was originally supposed to be an anthology series that would cover different time periods. They dropped the anthology aspect but that doesn't mean they've dropped the idea of different time periods.
... or Patrick Stewart is just saying whatever.
Bring back Dwight Schultz too!
I believe that Stewart is saying whatever myself.
I really do not get all the cameo oppisition.
TNG had McCoy, Sarek, Spock, Scotty, and Majel as Troi's mother Lwaxana. Plus Dr. Pulaski.
DS9 had Picard (or was that Sisko in a crossover?), Worf, and Riker. Plus the Trials & Tribble-ations episode. And Majel.
Voy: had Sulu, Janice Rand, Barclay, Troi, and LaForge.
I am sure I am missing some. Point is, the other series were fine with it.
