Paterson Joseph - black actor - tipped as Tennant's replacement

I've not tallied it up, but I follow the column regularly and my impression is that he's usually right when he gives an item a green light, which he did this one.

hadn't realised he was the guy from Numberwang, if he is the Doctor, I would be most annoyed if doesn't say "thats Numberwang" at some point in the series.

If this is the new Doctor then, i might be the only one on here but i feel this guy is the wrong guy for this role.

Watching this guy from that clip and from the Dr who episode he just to me is boring and just dont come across as anything special.

I mean is the best they can come up with? Sad very sad.

Skin color would easilly be changed by regeneration. Considering it changes body weight, height, hair style, and the like-- changing the amount of melanin pigmentation would be a pretty minor alteration for a regeneration.

Certainly more plausible than the Doctor changing gender.
Or becoming half-human for one regeneration. ;)

Just out of curiosity, have we seen a Time Lord with dark skin before?

One of the Time Lord extras in the flashbacks in "The Sound of Drums" was black.

I'm pretty sure one of Romana's regeneration tryouts was green or blue or something...I could be mistaken though!

Don't forget that the 9th Doctor told Rose "jokingly" that he might end up with "Two heads. Or no head. Imagine me with no head!" But then much more seriously said regeneration is very 'dodgey' and "You never know what you might end up with."

I haven't much enjoyed PJ's roles, his characteres don't have much sympathy, and that'll be transferred into a role like the Doctor.

Oh, it's not jsut that. He seems a bit smarmy.

There are better choices out there.
