Parks and Recreation - Season 3 Discussion Thread

One thing that makes the show for me is Ron Swanson, who I feel is one of the best supporting characters ever on a TV comedy. I still crack up over the Swanson Pyramid of Greatness! I wish they would make a T shirt of it, it would get lots of laughs when worn. :D

Parks and Recreation had a great week this last week. They got renewed for a full (Hopefully) season, and the Harvest Festival episode was hilarious, and one of the best episodes of the series. Everything about it was awesome, but that animation between the Tribe leader and Leslie was hysterical. I was surprised to learn this was the first episode they filmed after Poehler's pregnancy but they did not lose a step. I honestly thing the Harvest festival was something that the season would end with, but they brought it in quite early. Looking forward to seeing where everything goes from here, as this arc kind of wrapped up.

Also, one reason I love this show was shown at the end last night. This is a show where getting a victory in something is an achivement and makes me feel good. Watching the perkieness of Leslie, or Ron Smile at Lil' Sebastian (That was awesome by the way), or just Pawnee coming to this thing which was a success made everything worth it and made me smile. I didn't realize how much I cared about all these people until that moment but that's a credit to the writers and actors. Parks and Recreation has not only come into it's own since the tremoltuous season 1, but it's become one of the best series on TV and my favorite show of the week.

I'm glad this series has been renewed, and I'm glad the Ratings are staying stable. You don't get shows like this very often and this is an amazing show.

My only complaint is the bit with April and Andy. Now that they are together, I hope we get back to seeing more of them being goofy and less of them arguing with each other. The reason I wanted to see them become a couple is because of how much fun they seemed to have with each other, just goofing around. I hope they don't lose that in order to keep the plot going.

I was going to say Ann making out with her patient was another thing I didn't like, but I'd rather see how this plays out. If they're careful about it, I think they can get some more mileage out of seeing how Ann reacts to a situation where she wasn't the one to dump the guy. I just hope they keep her away from Andy, as, again, he and April are great together without any complications.

I thought they would've milked it for the full season . But when they got to the festival it was fantastic . The native american bit loved it , also the ferris wheel argument was great . This is one of my favorite shows .

^ That's going to be one messed up book. Not because it was written by Leslie but because Pawnee is a horror town of crazies.

That said, Zorp is Dead. Long Live Zorp!

well if you going to have a heart attack go for the nicest pair of boobs at city hall.
lesliy is a hotty out of the show.

When listening to Chief Ken Hotate I thought his voice seem familiar and now I know why he was played by Jonathan Joss who voiced John Redcorn on King of the Hill.

He also appears briefly in the new True Grit. After his single line I whispered to my wife "John Redcorn!"
