I love all the pics, guys. I miss my kids being babies, well, some of the time.

Moving out of the small fry stages has its advantages, too.
My daughter is 12 now. (For perspective, she was 3 when I joined TBBS.) She's in middle school and loving it. She's on the accelerated math track, so she's taking Algebra this year. Saturday, she earned a 1st division for her flute solo and was told by the judge that she was very talented, one of the best she's ever heard. My daughter is just sweet, too. She wants to be everyone's friend. She doesn't have any interest in cliques, exclusivity, or meanness. Boy, I hope that lasts.
My son is 7. He is living proof that God has a sense of humor. I continue to learn so much about boys, the world, and myself every day because of this child. He is a natural engineer. If it was put together, surely it must come apart. He can build for hours with Legos, blocks, Lincoln Logs, train tracks, Tinker Toys, whatever. He has a temper, and we are working on developing patience with himself and with others. It's a work in progress that sometimes leaves me very tired, but I know that it will be worth it in the long run. But he also has a kind heart. Today, one of the 1st graders was hit in the back with a large snowball. She was crying, so he brought her over to her mom.
My kids. Both are blessings to me, and I am grateful every day that they are in my life.
