Pardon my ignorance but, about the remastered DVD sets...

I have been absent for awhile on this forum, and was wondering if in addition to the remastered bluray releases, was the remastered sets of TNG released on DVD?

Sorry if this has been discussed before. Just curious if TNG was made available on DVD in addition to Bluray, as TOS was. And if so, where can I get the sets?

I don't need a bluray player. I like to rip my collection to my HTPC to prevent disc swapping. Ripping blurays takes up a lot of HD space, and takes away menu and chapter navigation. The DVD remaster of TOS was fantastic, and not much worse (of at all) to the bluray release. I know because I have both sets.
So did TNG release a remastered DVD set, or is it that you just don't know?

Well, if you want TNG in the best quality, you do. Or you can buy them on Amazon, I think, but that can get pretty expensive.

TOS Remastered was on DVD because of the format war and the flop of HD-DVD, and also because DVD still dominated the industry at the time. Today, that's no longer the case, so it's Blu-ray (and digital) only.

1.2 terabytes, to be exact.

It all depends on the finished quality you want. You can go with a lower resolution depending where you're gonna watch.

I did the Orphan Black blu-rays @ 1920x1080 and each 10 episode season is 75GB.

The entire nuBSG set, plus the extra movies is 695GB.
