Parallels

I really enjoyed the episode Parallels. I was wondering if the was any books written on the alternate time lines Worf was jumping into? Thanks for any info

Though not devoted to the exact same alternate timelines from "Parallels," Keith R.A. DeCandido's Q&A features the same ideas and throws Q into the mix. Without getting into more spoilery territory, it's definitely a great read, especially since you like "Parallels." Check out the Trek Lit forum here, the author goes by KRAD and there's a big thread about the book there now.

Not a book, but there is a fanfiction story written, I believe, by Wynn Jones. It was published in a zine called Number One. You might be able to find it here.

There is also a story called Candlelight set in another of the parallel universes, also published in Eridani zine some years back.

If you like "Parallels," check out Q-Squared by Peter David. It has alternate timelines, and it references Worf's journey.

It is indeed the novel with three Tracks, one of which has Jack Crusher as Enterprise's captain, and some lovely chaos near the end.

That is a fun episode. They did some clever things playing with the quantum realities, like that one scene where Data has blue eyes, and the terrifying appearance of Lt. Wesley Crusher.

Its been a while since I have seen it-

What happened to the "other" Worfs while "our" Worf was in their universe? Were they hoping around too? Floating in limbo? Did they get returned to their own universes at the end?

The episode never told us...good question though, I wonder if every Worf from every universe was jumping around at the same time? I kind of got that impression from the bit at the end with all the Worfs in the shuttle.

Parallels is one of my favorite later TNG eps, too. Most frightening: the Enterprise that was the last survivor of the fall of the Federation to the Borg. Wonder if anyone's ever done a novel delving into that horrific universe? I also liked how Ogawa was the chief medical officer in one of the realities. I do believe that in the relaunch TNG novels, Worf is first officer. Worf always did look better in command red. -- RR

Not a Novel, But a had a comic book once, where our Enterprise ends up in a that universe. Both ships join forces to attack the Borg on earth to gain some tech to get our Enterprise home.

^I love that comic! I have all 4 issues and I still get it out and read it from time to time. I think it's called The Worst of Both Worlds. It's worth hunting down for anyone who hasn't read it. It's by DC.

I loved the whole revelation about Captain Jack Crusher in that novel, or about Jack Crusher in general.

Thanks, yeah, "Phantasms" as well as "Parallels" are on my personal A-list of episdoes. Also "The Pegasus"...episodes with the letter P seem to do well by me..."Phantasms" I hadn't ever seen till recently so it was a special treat...a cellular peptide cake...with mint frosting
