She did have a few nice scenes late on in the story. Actually, I don't think there have been any novels with Crusher as the main character.

About Peter David, the funny thing is that he does seem to be capable of writing in character, he just prefers not to. His ideal characters are macho rogues who play by their own rules and fire off witty one-liners (his New Frontier books are full of these), and he can't resist giving the TNG crew these characteristics.

mon capitaine just likes any quote that portrays Picard as a major divinity. I also note that it could often be dangerous to get between one of these Gods and the women that they fancied. It strikes me that Jack may have put himself in the way of some smiting.

I'm still sniggering at the thought of Wesley Crusher IS Achilles.

In many ways, he's much more powerful than that. I mean, did Achilles ever move outside time? Not likely.

I'm a newbie to the TNG board, but been a huge fan of the series since Season 1.

I've been a P/C shipper since I watched the very first episode. You could just feel the tension between them. And I must say that I truly enjoy your pictures, Naraht. Very well done! I enjoy them!

Hey I promise you. Season One it starts grey. Season four/five it goes very uniformly brown. Season Seven practically white. I'll back it up with screencaps one of these days.

Oh man, that Picard looks like my Troi Playmates figure, sans hair. I still would love to have a TNG chess set, though - apparently they're only available in the UK.

I saw a picture of the full set online. The "black" pieces wear the DS9 uniforms, and the "white" pieces have the season 3-7 TNG uniform. Pretty neat, I think.

After having captioned the pictures for season four, it strikes me that there really wasn't much P/C in the season at all, even considering Remember Me, Q-Pid, and The Host, all of which had their moments. (All of the rest of it, I quite frankly invented.) Season one was so full of interactions and meaningful looks that I had to do it in two parts, and season three wasn't bad either. It looks as if the writers were losing interest exponentially.

I have to say that, thinking about it, I don't anticipate great improvement in later seasons, although season seven has two of the most P/C episodes of all time. It would be interesting to try to rank the seasons in terms of P/C potential. I'll be pondering this one.
