P/C run amok...

Quite a basic question which I don't think has come up yet is that of: which is your favourite P/C moment or episode?

Even though it wasn't the real Picard for most of it, I think that I liked the interactions in "Remember Me" the most. It was a nice act of trust when he reversed course on her say so, the Bridge scene was the highlight of the episode, and his reaction to her rescue was quite telling without being out of character.

This is a good question, and I'm sure it isn't one that's come up yet.

My choice would have to be "The Big Goodbye". It's an early enough episode that they haven't yet settled into the pattern of being 'just good friends,' and are still getting to know each other again. It's also pretty much the only episode where they're shown as equally interested in each other at the same time... a refreshing change.

First we have the lipstick incident

"Did he just ask me out?"

Picard spots her across a crowded room, and is very impressed

Who wouldn't be?

Best P/C shot ever?

If only they hadn't been interrupted...

My favorite moment is from All Good Things...when Beverly kisses Picard and they say something to the affect of "A lot of things can happen in 25 years" Even though this is an alternate reality, I'd like to think that Picard told her some of the stuff that happened at the end of the episode.

Big fan of P/C here!! One of my favorite moments is in "The High Ground" when Picard is deciding whether or not to beam Beverly to the ship. Love his indecision! Also the scene in AGT...great kiss! Makes me melt.

I like when she hugs him in "Sarek." Not really P/C but it's P and C. Sorta. Also when he tells her he's her friend, whatever else he may be to her, in "The Host." :)

AGT tops the list of favorite moments for me but I also like the interaction between them in BOBW. When Bev says his name on the Borg Cube I think she is crumbling inside, like she is thinking she is going to go thru a terrible loss all over again. The Big Goodbye is also packed full of good moments.

First post here so it may as well be on my favourite subject - P/C!

Favourite moments - the kiss in All Good Things - great scene especially the look of contentment on Picard's face at the end of the scene also, Sarek, the Big Goodbye and Remember Me have some great moments.

Also I do quite like Attached right up until the moment Bev walks out - quite how any woman could turn down Picard I don't know. I certainly wouldn't!

Wow, all these new faces! Welcome to winged victory and ensign blue... I hope you both stick around here. :)

Thanks for the welcomes Naraht! I think P/C is one of the main reasons why I enjoy TNG. The series, not the movies. I pretend they didn't make the movies because of the total disregard TPTB have shown towards P/C. (I only wish for one scene, one little scene where it's established that they're together, but alas I'm afraid that'll never happen after Nemesis. :()

You're not the only one who ignores the movies completely! They got so many things wrong, and Beverly Crusher could just have been left out of them completely for all the difference it would make.

Still, mon capitaine and I have this theory that Picard and Crusher did get together after AGT, and broke up unhappily just before First Contact. It explains so much about that film: Picard's anger and hopelessness, the way he and Beverly never quite seem to look at each other, how she feels that she can't talk him out of defending the Enterprise. The grim way that she says "when the captain's made his mind up..." Well, believe it or not as you like, but we had fun speculating at least. :)

I think they got together after AGT too. But, being the hopeless romantic I am, I think they are still together. :D
I like to pretend that in Nemesis while the Riker's were having a honeymoon night there was some nasty going on in the Captain's quarter too.

In my mind there was definitely a little flirting going on in Nemesis between the two. I know I mentioned this before, but when they're sitting at the conference table there is a definite warm smile between the two when they're talking about Shinzon and Bev says "He may come after you first". Also Bev sitting on his desk again like in the series. They seemed to be much more comfortable with each other again than in the other three movies. I know I'm probably grasping at straws but I don't care.

In Nem they do seem more than friendly. I really think they were a couple in the off screen scenes. You know the ones in my head.

I agree with CrazyMaryT. I like to think that AGT is when they got together and that they're still together! (I know, very delusional, but I really don't watch the movies unless I have to) That's an interesting theory Naraht about the Goddess and the Bald One breaking up after the finale. What would have driven the two apart? His neurological disease that might never appear? You would think since the two are such close companions, that if they did get it on, they would stay together. I think I'll just go and read some excellent P/C fanfic now! Adios

I agree that there's definitely a slightly different dynamic in Nemesis than in the rest of the movies. The desk-sitting is just fantastic. It's great continuity, and you can tell that she means business when she does that. It makes me think of my avatar. :)

Oooh, P/C fanfic! Where do you get your fix from?

I must admit that I'm a writer of such things myself... I've just finished a P/C version of Tapestry that I'll be posting as soon as I get it properly proofread. It's very sad. :(

I still think it's a damn fine theory. I urge everyone to rewatch First Contact with a view to 'have they just split up prior to this movie'. It's a hoot. :D

I looooove P/C fanfic!! There are so many excellent writers out there. I usually get my fix from Trekiverse and a site called "Captain's Quarters." I've never read such intelligent, beautiful, and steamy! fanfic like hers. Check it out-- Captain's Quarters

Speaking of P/C fiction, an excerpt from "Death in Winter," the upcoming TNG novel, has just been posted on Psi Phi. I'm not going to post any spoilers yet, but I must say that it looks *very* interesting. :p

Very interesting! It seems to set up how Picard was cloned in Nemesis. Would never have thought that would happen at Beverly and Jack's wedding reception. Thanks so much for the excerpt. I'll buy this in hardcover come September :)

Personally I'm fascinated by the scene, but I do think (can this be me talking?) that the P/C dynamic is just a little bit obvious. I mean, if some random Romulan noticed that Picard is in love with Beverly, wouldn't you expect Jack, Walker, or, erm, Beverly, to notice it too? Just a thought...
