Outlook Help

Been trying to solve this issue with Outlook and wanted to see if anyone here had any ideas. I have an email saved as an archive with an attachment. I go back and open up that email and instead of the attachment with the saved message, I get an attachment called "Archiveinfo.htm". I open if up and get the webpage stating that

Attachment InfoThis message and its attachments have been archived. To retrieve, double click the message in the message list.

The following attachments were archived from this message: xxx.doc

I am trying to recover this attachment and my Googlefu has failed me. Any suggestions?

Have you tried what the message says? That is, having the email in your message list in Outlook, and double-clicking it?

Unfortunately, if that does not work, the attachment is likely gone. Outlook probably didn't archive it directly, but left it on the server for later retrieval. If the email message file isn't very big (only a few kilobytes) then the attachment probably wasn't saved with it.

Yeah, I tried that but it just takes me back to the start of the process.

I was thinking the same thing, but I wanted to double check.
