Other Races of the Dominion

The Changelings are the leaders, the Vorta their administrators, the Jem'Hadar the soldiers. If they did a movie and showed other parts of the Dominion, what would it look like?

Would there be a race of scientists? Of laborers? What other roles would necessitate a genetically-modified brood? Is it racist to think other roles wouldn't be fulfilled by people from multiple species? After all, not all Federation strategists are Zakdorn or Vulcans.

Do Vorta also play the role of priests for the "mythical" Founders who most Dominion members have never seen? What is the Dominion intelligentsia or bourgeoisie like?

There are the Dosi and Karemma, both merchant species. The production team intended the Hunters of the Tosk to be the breeders of the Jem'Hadar but never had the budget to show it.

The Order of Things means a place for everyone and everyone in their place. Weyoun stated that the Founders wanted the Federation for their "famed Starfleet engineers". Likely their place would have been as technicians and inventors.

The Vorta could be like priests. Before the Founders revealed themselves to Odo the Vorta maintained a charade that they were the Founders in order to protect their leaders.

^When did he say that?
I do distinctly recall the Female Changeling saying that Odo was more important to the founders than the entire AQ.

He didn't. Kevan made the mention of "famed Starfleet engineers" in Rocks and Shoals. But nothing to do with wanting them for the Dominion.

Thanks, Tosk. I got mixed up. No, the assumption was mine. If the Dominion got the Feds then they might want humans and other notable species as techs.

When the Dominion were foreshadowed in the first few seasons of DS9, the impression was given that they were an anti-Federation, made up of many races, but evillllll!. Instead it turned out that they were mostly subject races of one major race (the Founders) and another race that kept them in line (the Jem'Hadar). Which was fine too, but not what I originally expected.

The Xindi were the same way. Originally I thought they were an anti-Federation, since it looked like they were made up of several different races. I was initially excited about them, because I thought that might have been why the Federation was founded ("If aliens can join an organization dedicated to evil, why can't we form an organization dedicated to good?") But it turned out that the Xindi were just all one race, which I found kind of boring.

But the Xindi were separate races and were an alliance. They all lived on the same planet, but they definitely weren't the same.
