OT: Unreality-SF.net - Story of the Year Award 2011/2012

It's the only one I've read, and I don't think I'll have the enough of the others done to feel comfortable voting by the time the voting is done.

(No need to reply; I was being dumb.)

(But for seriously, you should read Children. Best Trek novel since Destiny for me, by a country mile.)

^ I voted for Children of the Storm, too. It was a close call between CotS and Rise Like Lions, but in the end I gave Kirsten the nod.

It's next on my Trek Lit reading list, followed by the MU and Pakled stories in Seven Deadly Sins, and Indistinguishable from Magic.

Just a little reminder:

The poll closes at midnight on Sunday (since the site is based in the UK that means midnight in the UK), so if you haven't voted yet there are only a bit over two days left to do so.

To all those who voted for Children of the Storm, many thanks. I've been positively going blind with work lately and to find this here after a long time away has lifted my spirits considerably.

So what else is new? Did I miss anything important?

Kirsten

^ Thanks.

As I said at the linked page, I was genuinely surprised to see that my book won. My compliments to all the other nominees and their works, and my thanks to all who voted and helped run the polling.

Congratulations to Dave. I think you should get a special Mirror Universe trophy with a sinister goatee on it!

Congrats, both books are awesome, and diverse this and many many other honers that they are sadly unlikely to get.
