I wanted to post this here, because I think this is the first time I have truly been able to succeed, in attaining an "antiqued" effect on an image that was originally perfectly "clean", so I'm (hopefully justifiably) proud of my result.
I wanted to create a splash/title image for an upcoming story I'm working on, called "Redeux", which is an alternate history story. I wanted to emulate the effect seen quite often in the opening titles of American Revolution films, and book covers. I am very happy with what I did, and I ended up using about four different Photoshop filters/techniques to come up with the final product.

Please let me know what you think, and if you think I was successful. If so, there is hope, lol... if not... back to the drawing board.
