Ostermond's Ships And Stuff

Sorry for practically necromancing my old thread, but I think I've got a real winner of a ship in the works:

I present the Advance-class, a 2380s patrol escort/scout. Four decks tall, approximately 95 meters long. Based somewhat off of the Archer-class scout.

True heir to Loknar and Marklin as well. You have a lot of different ship styles all distilled into one whole.

Thank you, all! I can't quote-respond to everyone, but I just wanna say that y'all's support and admiration has not gone unnoticed! I've shown the design to John Eaves (I have my ways) and he really quite likes it, too! What with everyone telling me to keep it going, y'all can bet your bottom dollars I will!
Here are all the current views I've drawn for the Advance. The prior two included, but also now a partial aft view and a side ortho! This actually makes her a bit bigger than I'd estimated -- she's six decks now, with an approximate length of 177 meters. Still a small ship, but bigger than I'd thought.

In modeling -- which I haven't yet posted anything for -- I've found myself struggling with creating the sloped section that goes down from the spine to the saucer. Nevertheless, I'm still working at it, and will post some updates soon enough!

PROGRESS ADVANCES!

I've got some decent topology and shapes down, I think -- probably the farthest-along my work on such ships has ever gotten! The deflector and photon torpedoes won't be in til Tuesday. ;)
Nevertheless, she's coming together -- and she's looking sleek!

Yeah, that's a great start. The only thing that I personally would change is to make the nacelles just a but wider. They look spindly compared to the rest of the craft, plus that I think it's hard cramming in two bussard collectors on the top.

I'm BACK!
And I have a new ship in the works! A rather heavy redesign of the Chandley-class frigate -- forgive me please, FASA fans, for what I've done! Inspired by the work of @AdmiralBuck . May I present the USS Montreal (NCC-2460), name up for changes and such. Probably my cleanest surface work thus far.

You need to get this design into Picard now. :)

I highly doubt anyone was really waiting on me here, but hi! Way for me to necropost on my own thread nearly a year later -- and what an insane year, truly -- but that one ship I had orthos drawn up of above? The USS Advance?

Well...

Another Snipping Tool Starship! It's the limitations that make it such a fun challenge to work with, I think.

Mid-24th Century Design, based off an old kitbash of Galaxy and Andromeda parts I did with STO model files about...god, must be four, five, six years ago, now? Not got a name for her yet, nor an exact function.

Lovely design as always! Feels like a science ship to me, like a more capable (and less explodey) Oberth Class?
