Orville Should Have Its Own Forum

Considering the last few episodes of the second season, this show is truly coming into its own. More discussion seems to be around the individual episodes, technology and characters rather than its validity or if it should even exist. It's unique among other sci fi shows and therefore it should have its own forum under the Star Trek Miscellaneous grouping. Discuss.

I don't know. Nothing against THE ORVILLE, but at this point it's not a franchise yet, like STAR TREK or STAR WARS or whatever. It's simply another weekly show like SUPERGIRL or THE GIFTED or SIREN or any number of current TV series who have their own ongoing threads in the SF & Fantasy Forum. It's not like there are multiple different versions of THE ORVILLE to discuss.

Just my two cents.

Well, a quick count of the Orville threads under the Science Fiction And Fantasy group(?) shows some 17 individual threads since the beginning of the year. It seems to be more than any other show being discussed other than Star Trek.

How exactly is the Orville unique? Like it all you want, but it's the very definition of derivative.

It is very derivative, but it's popular enough here to have a scifi section subforum, I think.

I suggested this last year and was thinking about doing it again so it's nice to see the question come back up. I also think it should get it's own forum. We got the comic book coming as well. In fact I wouldn't be against the idea of the board making it history and doing a forum about a single person. A Seth McFarlane forum.
