Sonequa Martin-Green isn't the first woman of color to be the lead in a TV series. So, what is so important about her?

Even in the mid-90s having a black lead or a female lead of a TV show wasn't unheard of, yet Trek fandom still considered DS9 and Voyager groundbreaking for these very reasons.

I'm disappointed The Orville isn't airing in Australia. I found the first four episodes on Youtube and enjoyed them. Good stories AND Dick jokes? Yes please. There is a sense of playing make-believe with The Orville as well. It's like MacFarlane took a game he used to play as a child and made it real and i really like that.

I'm really liking Discovery and I'm keen to see more Orville. It's a good time to be a sci-fi fan.

Pretty solid episode. Penny Johnson Gerald is a versatile actor. I really enjoyed her monologue. Good spotlight for Halston Sage this week. They make her look so tiny somehow, even through 5' 5" is a normal height for a grown woman.
