Do we know for sure it was B&B and not the studio? Just wondering, because B&B get blamed for a lot of stuff that wasn't actually their fault.

I agree that the Conestoga would have made an awesome prequel ship. It looked like a viable extension of Cochran's original Phoenix design.

Conestoga as nx-01 is pure fan myth. John Eaves developed the design for the Enterprise episode "Terra Nova". Check his and Doug Drexler's blog for information about the ship.

And there we go. I wonder if the fan myth came from how detailed and "starship-like" (er...if that makes sense ) the Conestoga looked.

Conestoga would have looked good as a prequel ship, so I can understand the fan myth, as far as it's detail, I'd say that's just Eaves and Drexler's way, go detailed or go home.

The Carolina is a person favorite of mine for what the NX could/should have been, maybe just with a more rugged hull. If JudeXavier was to tweak the Carolina, now THAT is an NX I would have love to have seen on screen.
