Oreos are evil!

and I've found this new brand called Skinny Cow[TM] ice cream sandwiches that are much lower in sugar and fat--they have several different flavors but my favorites is mint ice cream with chocolate dough sandwiching it.

Skinny Cow is good. The mint ones are my favorite, too. I only buy reduced-fat ice cream for home, though I occasionally eat the real stuff when I go out.

With Oreos the first two taste pretty good. The next one is a little less flavorful but gets by on the memory of how good the first two were. Every Oreo after that tastes like dirt and high pitched sugar.
Kind of like beer that way.

I finally read what the yummy Oreo filling is made of -- and haven't bought or eaten one since. This weekend, I was watching a documentary on veganism, and the people in it were overjoyed that Oreos are a vegan food. This was right after the lecture about what animal products do to your body. I'll stick with a regular shortbread cookie, thanks.

Shortbread, can be nice but you have to make sure you get the right one. A preimum label/brand name Scottish All-Butter shortbread.

Pringles. On impulse I grabbed a can of Pringles. Had a couple a day, until Saturday when I just ate the damn can.

Agreed on Pringles! Whenever I buy them (and I haven't for some time), I tell myself they're to last a week minimum. As you can imagine, they're gone by the end of the evening.

Then again, one thing I have in common with most of my family is the urge to finish something once it's opened, no matter how ill-advised. Goodies don't last long around us.

I have actually lost my sweet tooth. I no longer crave sugary things like cookies, brownies, cakes, etc. I used to love it all. Now? Meh. I can sit in front of an entire buffet of sugary goodness and not eat a single thing. I also stopped keeping any "junk food" in the house a long time ago. The closest thing that I allow myself to eat is some rice pudding, and I mix in some fresh blueberries with it. So good!

That's probably very wise. I keep telling myself that I should take a similar stance, but I lack the self-discipline to do it. I have a tendency to comfort-eat; I feel down, I grab something unhealthy to munch on. I imagine I'll eventually make the transition, but probably only when I'm prompted to by doctors, whenever that might occur.

I like sweet foods, but I tend to go through phases were I prefer savoury. I can happily leave crisps, sweets unopened for weeks/months but once it's open it's gone.

I read these words but they make no sense to me.

My sweet tooth has pretty much gone away, too. I like the occasional cookie or candy bar, but for the most part I stay away from sugar. It just doesn't have the appeal it used to.

A few weeks ago, I bought some Oreos for the first time in years. They were Double Stuff. I only get Double Stuff. Not enough icing in the regular ones. I felt a little sick after eating four, but managed to finish the bag within 2 or 3 days anyway. I had 4 at a time, once or twice a day, dipped in milk.

Oreos might be evil, but Tim Tams are heavenly.
I got some of those a few years ago after reading a post here. I liked 'em.

Trust me, a few years ago I probably would have taken a much different stance on sugary goodness. I don't know what happened! I just don't crave sweets or really care about them anymore!

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, and can bypass Oreos, but a packet of McVitie's chocolate digestive biscuits has a very short lifespan in my presence. This is why I hardly ever buy them, and when I do I take two and purposely leave the packet where the kids can see it. By the time I venture back into the kitchen there are a few crumbs left if I'm lucky. I do the same the few times I cave in and buy Nutella. Behold my awesome parenting skills. ;)

Savoury foods are the death of me. I can eat pasta or pierogies until I explode.

McVitie's chocolate digestive biscuits.

Mmmmm, what an appealing name.

I was hooked on these before they were discontinued:

^ That's what I usually end up getting if I'm craving some, but that's not too often. Tastes the same, but not as good a value.
