Pacific Islander or even Aboriginal.

Like a lot of people here, my first impression was 'Maori or Pacific islander.'

But having read other people's response, Slavic/East European sounds like a good guess as well.

I'm fascinated by the fact that the two gut reactions are Pacific islands and eastern Europe.

My first thought was Polish.
