OpenOffice 3.0 Question: Grouping Pictures and Text Boxes

I'm trying to make an annotated image in OpenOffice Writer. The image itself is a bitmap that I've cropped, and the text annotations were made with text box objects. I want to group them all together into a single object that I can then position wherever I want within the text document.

For whatever reason I can't select both the picture and the text boxes. I can select the picture, and I can select the text boxes, but OpenOffice isn't allowing me to select the picture and the text boxes at the same time.

What am I doing wrong? Does anyone have an alternative suggestion on how to do what I'm trying to do, short of making the entire annotated image in GIMP or some other image-editing software?

I solved the problem, although in a back-handed way. I was able to paste the picture and text boxes into OpenOffice Draw. From there I was able to select all of them at once and group them. I then copied the grouped object from Draw back into Writer, where I was able to position the object.

You might want to get onto the team about that - it sounds like it might be a bug.
