Your comments, especially, the "Sound of Drums?" remark makes me wonder exactly how much Dr. Who you've watched.I prefer almost any of the earlier musical interpretations. The driving "DA DA DA DA" (Sound of Drums?) beat is almost lost.

Now that's actually quite good, it keeps the deep base throughout the whole song......nice find.
I'm looking forward to all the different takes on the new theme that will be popping up on YT.
There is something innately heroic (in the classical "eroica" sense)about it that distinguishes from the rest of the theme, whether the rest takes an upbeat track or not.I like that - I think the "middle eight" is always my favorite part of the theme; it never seems complete without it, anyway.
