Just remember that the same woman who wrote "Don't Want to Miss A Thing" for Aerosmith and "Armageddon" also wrote the theme song from "Enterprise".

Well..folks..I LIKED the song in Patch Adams..and I am a big fan of Diane Warren...I didn't like it though as a theme song for a trek tv show...but the song? I like...

The Russell Watson version used on ENT was actually superior to Rod Stewart's version for Patch Adams. Or maybe that's just because I can't stand Rod Stewart.

I won't argue against the assertion that the opening credits to "Star Trek: First Contact" are pretty uninspired visually since there's nothing to them but the out of focus thing going on, but they're some of my favourites just because the music theme played with them is so awesome. To me it's the most beautiful and moving theme in any of the Star Trek movies. I think the use of it on other Star Trek DVDs is proof of how much it's admired by many others too. Jerry Goldsmith even said on the "Star Trek: First Contact" DVD that he liked the movie so much that it really inspired him towards writing a great score and I think that really comes through in it.

That music was pretty cool..I still use it myself when making home videos...

The First Contact theme never said "Star Trek" for me. I find it sappy, and all other Goldsmith scores better.

I think it's okay, but... I will say I prefer the TUC score a lot more.
