One Recommendation

This one's from my dad, one of the best pieces of advice he ever gave me:

"The world has two kinds of people. Givers and Takers. Always be a Giver, but make sure to surround yourself with Givers also."

One recommendation! ONE RECOMMENDATION! :klingon:

In all seriousness, I do feel that almost anything can be forgiven. Of course it depends on the circumstance and how strong your friendship/relationship is. It's something that I've found tested lately, and I've found that I'm far more forgiving than I had realized.

Then again I very much agree with what TSQ posted earlier. Love is always the appropriate reaction. This doesn't mean I don't get angry, because I do. But that's not what I hold on to.

Forgive, Kestra. Forgive.

So many recommendations, so little time and I don't want to get smashed, so I'll keep it to one.

Everything in one's life falls into one of three buckets: that which we can control, that which we can influence, and that which we can neither control nor influence. Know what falls in what bucket and choose to spend your time, effort, and energy on buckets one and two.

Don't ever give anyone any kind of advice! :p

I've learned if you want to share an important piece of information with someone that you would like them to accept, remember, or act on... do not spoon feed it, many people seem to prefer/value conclusions they arrived at themselves... introduce a little of it, to point in the right direction, and allow them to work out the rest, if they wish.

I only just learned this! Why didn't anyone ever share this with me?! :vulcan: I guess I had to work it out for myself!

Forgiven! :)

Learn and understand the difference between there, their, and they're.

Oh that's a good one. It's so annoying when people don't take the time to differentiate. It's like their too busy to do a simple grammar check.

don't fight someone when you can burn their house down just as easily

Kestra does not condone arson. Any arson on the part of the poster is not the responsibility or fault of this thread.
