My wife and I just finished watching (re-watching for me) Voyager.

We bought two fish last week named Tom and Belanna.

Today we paid the deposit to adopt Annika. All three were named by my wife.

She's a Cocker Spaniel/Terrier mix of some kind.

All the other dogs we considered were boys. We had decided that if we got a boy dog he'd be named Lt. Barclay. But when we picked a girl we were kinda stuck. We already had a fish named Belanna, but this little girl was no Kathryn or Jadzia. My wife didn't like Ezri or Leeta. We did consider Kes, but then she thought of Annika and there was just nothing else to consider. We never even got around to considering Beverly or Deanna, and I'm sure we'd get dirty looks if we'd named her Uhura.

I'm just thrilled to death that she looks like a Lab puppy, but she'll always be this cute, cuddly, fun-size version and not turn in to a full-grown lab that'd be too much for us to handle and too big to be happy in our little yard.

Unfortunately I have to report that Belanna the fish was found dead this morning and Tom was found eating her tail. We decided that he must really be mirror-universe Tom.

I'm sorry about the fish :(...but if I may say, that's just like Tom isn't it always trying to get some tail

Tom finally made it back to the Alpha Quadrant in his warp 10 shuttle.

Nice dog. :)
I'd like to get one too, unfortunately I don't really have the time for a dog right now.

Her Vet appointment has been moved up to tomorrow. We get to bring her home Wednesday now.

Puppy!!! I love puppies! She is so darn cute!

I love that your fish are named Tom and B'Elanna, how cool!

Nice! I hope my girlfriend will go for a trek name for our next pet...(she would probably like T'Pol or Seven).

Annika is actually already fully grown and getting spayed tomorrow. We get to bring her home Wed. All adopted animals at our shelter get spayed or neutered.

Oddly enough I gave my two dogs DS9 names and that was my least favorite series. My girl dog, who looks like Annika, is named Kira and my border collie boy is named Sisko :)

We really thought about naming her Kira.

I just can't wait to get her some TBonz. I've discovered that our local Orscheln's carries them.

Kira is a cute name! But so is Annika...so it is a win/win situation;)

My next animals will probably be named like your fish, Tom and B'Elanna since they are my all time fav characters:techman:

We picked up Annika this morning. She's such a sweet doggy. She's adjusting very well, but she won't stop licking her surgery stitches. We've had to put one of those plastic head cones on her. She may have to wear it as long as ten days. :( But, she didn't even fight me putting it on. My wife is afraid she'll resent us for it.

Ohhhhhhhhh how cute! Dog's look so cute when they have those plastic cones on  She won't resent you....dogs are very forgiving and loyal!

My dog Sisko had major spinal surgery 2 1/2 years ago and luckily his wounds were on his back so he couldn't lick them or we'd have had more problems!

Dogs are awesome....It would be cool if their could be dogs on Starships;)
