Once Upon A Time Season 4

^Okay. I'm sold. Regina and Emma obviously belong together.

Geez, I was just trying to show how these two former enemies have become friends. :alienblush:

I was even avoiding the more slashy versions of the finale tributes. ;)

Shouldn't this next song, "Chasing Cars", be saved for Red Riding Hood's vids?

I have a question. :vulcan:

"Into the Darkness"

[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDi3xfPlXN0[/yt]

Who do you think picked UP the new Dark One's dagger? :vulcan:

"True love IS magic."

Will it be Snow?

"Rescue me"

Or Hook?

"I never told him I loved him"

Or Regina?

"Show me love"

Three weeks later I finally got to watch the finale. It was a total rehash of last year's finale. They abruptly end the interesting main season arc and then do a two hour movie where one of the reality characters is sent back to the Enchanted Forest and fart around for awhile. I just found both of these stories to be huge time wasting, while I really like the show now otherwise.

Also, that was a very disappointing cliffhanger ending. It just smacks of a long running show that ran out of ideas and is falling down to playing musical chairs with the characters just to change it up. (coughs Supernatural coughs) Emma is Rumpelstiltskin now! Gold is pure of heart now!

So, our Disney movie for next season is the Sword in the Stone? Disappointing choice. There's nothing uniquely Disney about Arthur and Merlin. I've really enjoyed the vast majority of the last two seasons, but for the first time since then I'm not jazzed about what comes next.

The show does seem to be flailing around- IMO the original concept of all the storybook characters living in the town without knowing who they used to be worked great but after that it seemed to get into a pattern of having some story becoming the heavy to win the day from. I really did not care for the Neverland arc and both OZ and the Alice in Wonderlands seemed to be wasted opportunity.

I still watch it, but I do not enjoy it nearly as much as I did.

I like the idea of doing half-seasons using a Disney movie as the Big Bad. I thought the Peter Pan and Frozen arcs were the high point of the series, and for the most part I enjoyed the Oz and Villaineses arcs.

Maybe next season won't be "Sword in the Stone". :klingon:

Maybe it will be "Excalibur"! :bolian:

As for the season finale we just saw... many of the SwanQueen subtext vids forget a key point in the finale's last scene.

If Regina's "happy ending" was Emma then Emma would have thrown the dagger to Robin and pushed him into the maelstrom.

But if Emma was being what she has always yearned for, a friend who could be depended upon to go the extra mile then she had to keep the dagger and jump into that maelstrom.

A point this video seems to understand all too well. :bolian:

I think the saddest and yet most glorious line in the entire series thus far was when Regina pleaded with Emma in that cavern at the end of season 1.

"Everyone looks at me as the Evil Queen, including my son." :sigh: "Let me die as 'Regina' ".:wah:

The question is, can she LIVE as Regina, knowing what Emma has sacrificed for her.

Not quite what I expected for those characters, but I like it. Sounds like their Arthur might be a bit of an ass. They could have really screwed with people's heads and cast Colin Morgan, Bradley James, and Angel Coulby.
I wonder what their Camelot will be like?

That reminds me, what the hell was the point of carrying Will over from the Wonderland spinoff? He just hung around and did nothing.

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed in his role in the season. Didn't they originally promise that he would play a big role in the story?

I think that the writers got so into doing the storylines for other characters that they realized they didn't have time to properly tell his story in season 4. At least I hope so. I really liked Wonderland and Will was part of the reason I did.

Yeah Will had little to no point in season 4. I'm one of the few that love Mader's Wicked Witch I guess so that's good news for me.

She was ok for a moment, but just really feels too cheesy and over the top with the bad lines. Just bad. Not excited about her having more screen time based on that.

Not that others don't get bad spots, but a lot of the WW's lines were totally cringe-worthy. Like a bad game of "Meow" in SuperTroopers, felt like they were trying to wedge "wicked" in as many times as they could...
