Once Upon a Time (ABC) - 1x02 till the bitter end

Really good episode, with some nice little twists. And the CGI for the wolf was really well done as well.

Not sure how Snow's prints were on the inside of the box.

I first thought that this was The Huntsman's heart, if it's human at all. The Huntsman was supposed to put Snow's heart in the box. It'd be crazy if it was Snow's heart.

I really liked this episode, and I did not see the Red twist in the fairy tale land story. Both plots really held my interest again this week. I'm glad the Storybrooke story is finally starting to pick up.

Yeah, this was a very good episode. The heart in the box was an interesting twist-- we know that Evil Queen can take your heart without killing you, but a judge and jury wouldn't know that. So Catherine is locked up in the secret dungeon, and Snow will be charged with her murder.

The Little Red Riding Wolf fairy tale was cool, too-- although I was quite disappointed that the Werewolf curse leaves one's human alter ego fully dressed. :rommie:

I guess Red's bare feet would have looked significantly different from Peter's . . . hence the need for her to be wearing boots.

i would have preferred it the other way around.

Te the magic makes the human clothes fit the wolf snug and perfectly.

"No, Not like this, not like this!"

It's one step above being mauled by a purse puppy.

never really considered how many boxes we saw when she killed the huntsman...

but...

The queen probably has everyone's hearts in boxes, not just people who volunteer them up. Afterall we don't know how long every one was in stasis/cages while she was setting up storybook if the whole thing wasn't fully automatic.

Had to catch this on time delay.

Ruby is the first (only?) character whose happy ending is in Storybrooke, as opposed to an unhappy ending in Fairytaleland. I don't if they noticed or if this is intentional.
Or if it is intentional it's just supposed to be progress in breaking the curse or foreshadowing the series climax.

Regina taking Kathryn's heart and using it to frame Mary Margaret is logical. Which leaves the problem of why it's David who's wandering about looking like he's been enchanted.

I could have found a way around that. :D

Any guesses as to precisely when, how and by whom the heart was supposed to be found?

It is pretty tenuous.

How long had the heart been buried there?

Cold weather plus underground, so i suppose that's kinda like a natural refrigerating process?

Very good episode, I did not guess that Red was the wolf (I thought it would be Granny).

Ruby is the first (only?) character whose happy ending is in Storybrooke, as opposed to an unhappy ending in Fairytaleland.

There's also Hänsel and Gretel, they lost their father in Fairy Land, but found him in Storybrooke. And I think Cinderella found her prince as well in the real world.

She had an episode earlier this season, but I can't remember exactly what happened.

So I guess Ruby is no longer in danger of turning into a wolf in Storybrooke? Because my original understanding was just that the curse removed their memories, and not who they actually are.

But considering people like Grumpy and Jiminy Cricket now appear human, I guess the same probably goes for her.

so when do you think aerial will show up and who will play her?
I would love to see claudia black.
