Once Upon a Time (ABC) - 1x02 till the bitter end

Penny's father should take better care of this Prince. The old lady is all out of sons.

What was the importance of the windmill in Rump's shop? I don't recall one being mentioned/referenced before?

I want to know who the Dr. is. I cannot figure him out. He seems drawn to Ruby but he is back to hitting on Snow.

I want the show to succeed for Robert Carlyle's sake.

This show has some great production values. That was especially evident in last night's episode.

But Robert just squeels like he's going down a twirly slide.

The man spent weeks in costume shooting a Hitler Miniseries, he knows from evil.

When Kathryn (Midas's Daughter) took David (Charming) home she said something about the old windmill that was in front of the house that he hated.

It just occurred to me, they can't really do the original Rumpelstiltskin story in this show now because they merged it with the Cinderella story: He gave her what she wanted in exchange for her firstborn child.

If they DO do the Miller's daughter story, it'll either be a retread or he'll ask for something else.

He's in every story.

The spell is that no one gets a happily every after.

The beginning of the spell seems to be that he has to rip the fabric of that universe together first before the spell shreds reality...

He either wrote the spell or he's doing the leg work for who did.

Regina is a pawn.

Maybe a bishop?

But certainly not a Queen.

After the Cat Fight between Regina the Queen and Maleficent, didn't we learn that Rumplestiltskin was indeed the source of the Curse?

A week or two back, didn't Regina ask Mr. Gold what his obsession was with "First Born", implying he makes a habit of making that deal?

so if they are doing sleeping beatuy in the near future who will be ogers and who will be the evil faires?

Isn't Regina's last name Mills in the real word? Maybe she was the Millers daughter.

There's a comic book that takes classic fairy tale stories and either darkens them up, or just does the original Grimm tales.

I particularly enjoyed the karmic ending they gave to "Rumpelstiltskin": After the Miller's girl, now the Queen, pretty much cheats the guy out of their bargain he shows up at her child's birthday (he's now a young Prince) and explains how he had a curse put on him (that made him a goblin) that couldn't be broken unless he made a deal with someone and he could pass on his curse if they guessed his name.

The Queen realizes too late, and is forced to watch as her son is transformed into the new Rumpelstiltskin.

Thanks! I had totally forgotten about that.

I think that Mr. Gold just has a thing for the first born, anyone's first born. I wonder if the first twin given away was the twin born first? He wanted to know the name of Snow's first born, and Henry is Emma's first born. He must love trafficking in children.

Well, his name is "Dr. Whale."

The whale from Pinochio? Or is that a stretch?

(Hey, if a cricket can become a child psychiatrist, why can't a whale become an M.D.?)

Didn't David Answers ogle Little Red Riding Hood in one episode? I thought that meant that Dr. Whale = Dr. Wail = The Big Bad Wolf? ;)

I've had a pitch in my head for a couple weeks.

About the antics of a studio audience, what they get up while there's a sitcom acting/performing in-front of them, and every week at the beginning the announcer says "The Audience is filmed live in front of a sitcom"

It really takes the charm out the gimmick if the audience is naked.
