Once Upon a Time (ABC) - 1x02 till the bitter end

Can regina turn herself into a dragon as well? If she canany attack by helicopters or fighters would be useless

As cool as this would be to see, Maleficent has been established in Sleeping Beauty as a dragon shapeshifter, while sadly her sister witch doesn't have that on her resume.

Anyway, here's the more important news: Snow and Charming are in wuuuuuv for real. Awwwww....

Or at least sleeping together.

Look at the context of the last Jefferson scene before Henry went into cardiac arrest again - Regina reneged on the whole deal, Jefferson vowed to hurt her the worst way he could, she basically said "What are you gonna do, kill me? You can't. I don't care about you - I only care about my son." She as much as TOLD Jefferson how to hurt her in the worst way possible, without even realizing it. His next move then was obvious - "If I can't have my child, you won't have yours."

The way that all played out, it sure looked like the intent was for us to believe Jefferson did something dire. I just couldn't figure out what it was, exactly.

Maybe freeing Belle is part of some master plan, and that's what the scene was leading to? For him to attempt to murder Henry is a quantum leap in the evilness we've seen from him before. But we haven't seen much, and there's no telling how firm a grip he has on his sanity. Mad Hatter and all.

I don't think Jefferson had anything to do with Henry's crisis. His plan seems pretty straightforward: Get Rumplestiltskin to kill Regina.

That's what freeing Belle was all about, and why he made such a big deal of insisting that Belle tell Rumple that it was Regina who had kept her locked up all this time. So that a pissed-off Rumple will go after Regina . . . .

But Mr. Gold seems like to much the cunning manipulator to just go and confront Regina with the intention of killing her. His revenge would probably be far too roundabout for Jefferson's liking.

'

Maybe that is what Jefferson wants though? :bolian: He wants Gold to make Regina's existence hellish. For the Jefferson we know is living in his own personal Hell.

Or maybe Jefferson just thinks that the knowledge that Regina has kept Rumple's true love locked up in a psycho ward for years (after telling him that she killed herself!) would be enough to get him to lash out murderously.

After all, it's not like Rumple is adverse to killing people when the mood strikes him. He turned that one guy into a snail and stepped on him just for giving Baelfire a skinned knee. And he casually murdered their mute servant girl as well . . . . (And remember how he blasted Cinderella's fairy godmother to pieces?)

There's a reason everyone used to tiptoe around him back in Fairy Tale Land.

And let's not forget Mr. Gold and the Teacup theft, showing Mr. Gold is just as willing to be brutal as Rumplestiltskin is

yeah but those examples were of folks who he probably thought were beneath him and unworthy of serious consideration. I think he considers Regina to be more of a "worthy opponent."

I have to admit, I'm going to miss the fun little hints and allusions to the characters' real fairy tale lives now (especially in those great Gold/Regina conversations).

Now that they can all be out in the open, calling each other by their real names, it seems like the show could maybe miss that extra little layer of mystery.

Since the audience was clued it, there wasn't much mystery.

My question is, where do the doors lead in Jefferson's hat? We know three (regular universe, Fairyland, Wonderland) but where do the other nine go? Atlantis? Asgard? The Mirror Universe? :D

I missed alot of the last third of the episode, because someone interupted me, so, I'll have to watch it again, and pay attnetion to the Jefferson thing Temis hints at.

I thought it was awesome, and though it was a bit rushed, I'm not sure I would want it watered down to two full episodes, maybe only a half hour more would do it jsutice. It is the Season Finale afterall, so you expect it to be jam-packed.

I was very pleasantly surprised that they came clean with the magic straight out of the gate, and Maleficent as the Dragon was a great twist (Love the Hat Horns that were represented by the Dragon's horns).
Just look at the Dragon Maleficent transformed into in Disney's animated "Sleeping Beauty". Same exact Dragon.

Believe it or not, I've never actually seen the Animated Disney Version, so, I wasn't aware of her turning into a Dragon :alienblush:

Oh, you definitely need to check that out. The finale features one of the all-time great movie dragons. It's a great scene, which I confess I know by heart:

"Sword of Truth, fly swift and sure--that evil die and good endure!"

Come to think of it, Emma's sword flew pretty swift and sure . . . .

At this point there's pretty much no denying we're seeing "twisted" versions of the Disney versions of the fairy tales.

Meghan Ory Upped To Series Regular

We’ll be seeing a lot more of Ruby in the magic-themed second season of Once Upon A Time. Meghan Ory, who recurred as Ruby aka Red Riding Hood on the freshman season of the breakout ABC drama, has been upped to series regular for the upcoming second season. I hear the promotion was put in motion at the beginning of 2012 when Ory started fielding strong interest for pilots. It was triggered recently, following Once‘s second season renewal by ABC. Ory ended up appearing in 17 of the 22 episodes of Once‘s first season.
