Once More With Feeling...once more

Having just revisited this episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is there any reason NOT to hope/pray/wish for a sequel (with Angel maybe?) TV movie?

A two-hour spectacular! After Dr. Horrible's Live Blog, I would not only welcome but eagerly anticipate such an endeavor (I was worried Joss was only musically gifted enough to produce one magnum opus...the video blog gladly convinced me he has much more to offer).

But seriously, how better to send off two well-loved programs than with a well-written musical tribute?

They could include the recently written comic "seasons" or not...I don't care. Just gimme more TV Buffyverse! :)

I would love a sequel to Once More With Feeling that includes Angel, though I doubt it will ever happen, I doubt Geller or Boreanaz are willing to reprise their roles.

Was that the episode where Xander intentionally released a demon, and it killed people. And Xander wasn't immediately hauled off to jail or slain by Buffy.

First, you don't go to jail for releasing demons.

And second, he meant well. He thought it would make the world happier. He apparently didn't read the fine print where it said people would spontaneously combust.

Well there was semi sequel with Season 7's "Selfless", featuring the awesome song Mrs sung by Anya. Which is better than anything in OMWF in my opinion

I remember...it was a flashback to the night before OMWF and, if you listen carefully, you can hear David Fury's song ABOUT getting the mustard stain in one scene.

Yep, you can hear it outside when Anya goes to the window (or the balcony...I don't remember). It's hilarious.

Of course, the thing that made that song -- and that episode -- so awesome is that it immediately cut from this absolute joy of finding lasting love to the hell that Anya's life had become: Silent, impaled on Buffy's sword for murdering innocents, she has betrayed her friends and is consumed with bitter rage and despair at the end of her relationship with Xander. The extreme emotional juxtaposition -- the understanding that your life can go from being so happy to being so horrible, so quickly -- was wonderful.

It seemed to me that by the end of the series the story of Anyanka had gotten horribly soured by encountering Buffy and the Scoobs. Which is sad, but some stories are. There's nothing we can't face, except for bunnies.
