On Trump Era Politics...

Transparent like getting rid of 30000 emails, after being subpoenaed for them, bleaching a hard drive -shipping it 1/2 across the USA to do so.
Selling Uranium in the USA to the Russians.

I think the emails thing is pretty played out as political ammunition by now considering how many of the Trump team are actually serving time for serious criminal offences.

Point of order, Hilary has never sold uranium to Russia.

An American company has done so perfectly legally with permission from the government. That permission came from a committee she happened to be on, but she was never involved in either the deal or the permission. Actually happens quite a lot as normal business practise, which anyone commenting on it should know.

Ahhh...this thread would be incomplete without some SJW cliches.

Then prove them wrong, I dare you. It’s easy to make an insult, especially a meme taken from someone else’s screenshot showing you aren’t even capable of stealing someone else’s idea successfully. But can you can use your own brain and disprove it?

It DOES get tedious doesn't it?
I’m tired of being right all the time too, I can’t imagine how you feel to be wrong about everything constantly.

You could try reading a book.

Nationalism isn't a inherently bad system, but as with most large political/social systems it needs to have practical restraints and controls placed upon it. Similarly globalism/internationalism do have their pluses, but can't be allowed to run unrestrained.

It isn't a all or nothing situation, you don't completely get rid of nationalism owing to the possibility of excesses.

Political leaders should look to their own people and countries first, and then take international matters into consideration. When someone (Trump or anyone) get something wrong they need to be called on it, also when they get something right, it should be noted.

If you think Trump hasn't had his share of good ideas and successes, either you're a ideology or haven't been paying attention.

Which doesn't mean you have to like him, but I don't have to like him (and I don't) to think he's doing basically a good job. One example, the wall is a bad idea, but I do think that immigration/migration needs to be orchestrated and regulated through the Federal government. It's popular culture that will get people on-board with a concept, using science and math intertwined with ridiculous exaggerations won't.
I also recommend you watch David Attoboroughs climate change the facts.

You can see how ecological collapse is starting right now. THAT is what's going to screw us up. And it's not exaggeration or scare mongering. If a ecosystems collapses across the world it means mass famine and collapse of civilisation.

It wont be confined to some 3rd world issue. Huge areas of the USA could become deserts and dustbowls. Same with Australia.

Of course the climate is changing.
Just as it has many times before.
It's presumptious to think that humans are causing it. If humans are causing it,
How did it happen when there were very much fewer humans?
Where are all the woolly mammoths?
Did the ice melt because the fat bastards were all driving around in gas guzzling SUVs?

Pick up a science text book. You will see that yes the climate does change, however it never changed this fast without some Cataclysmic event and cataclysmic consequences.

Did somebody just use the term "SJW"? Awwww, Hell. Gotta dig out my wading boots.

I'm about as politically incorrect as you can get but "SJW" is so worn out and empty of meaning that it might as well be "Snowflake." And at least "Snowflake" has an alternative and positive definition.

No. It's a lot more than supposition. Collusion happened. Mueller just couldn't say beyond a shadow of a doubt that Trump was involved and thus: here we are.

The legal limbo land of "He's probably not innocent but we can't just toss him out of office without ironclad proof of conspiracy." The lawyer's loophole to both say the defendant is full of B.S. and hiding their guilt about something but not call it an open-and-shut case.
Innocent until
Proven
Guilty.
Not "well we're pretty sure"
Nor is it Guilty until proven innocent.
That's the USA for ya.

Using SJW is a performance, an attempt to gain social brownie points from bigots and idiots who got tricked into believing bigots. It essentially promotes the idea that white men are just superior and anyone else wanting to be treated equally to them is wrong and foolish for doing so. It’s replaced uppity as an insult to attack anyone against white supremacy and wants to stop it. The kind of people who are angry they can’t say the n-word or hurl slurs without consequence anymore.

But I’m sure they’re “very fine” people.

White men are not the evil creatures you seem to think they are and I'm tired of you lumping us all in as if we're one thing. Maybe if you weren't so full of hate and anger all the damn time you'd see that.

And I'll ignore the read a book comment. You're wrong on that.

And everything else in the world.

In public places it's directed more at irritating and upsetting people than at "gaining brownie points." That's really the point of most name-calling and labeling when it's done outside the in-group.

If he wins again, I don't think I'll be able to continue to live in the US for his full term. Things are already awful, four more years of damage could make it impossible for me to live here.
Where will you go?
I haven't noticed too much difference between Trump's time in office and Obama.
What things are you finding awful?

It is not presumptuous. It is scientific fact.
And rather than being ostrich's about it, we could use this as a tremendous opportunity to engineer our climate in a way never imagined before. The human mind coupled by the will of our species can do anything.
Instead we argue meaningless points and ignore reality.
If the species survives, and I think it will despite stupid people begatting more stupid people, it will remember the guilty and the ones who made this situation worse. Some of this is going to require humility. Humility from people who do NOT have the answers, cannot comprehend the data and must make that leap of trust that the greater scientific community knows what its talking about.

I’m not full of hate, that’s your imagination inventing motives. I just pointed out that society makes it easier for white men to ignore the issues of others. It’s also a fact that the rights of minority groups are being stripped away. Medical professionals are legally allowed to deny me treatment if my existence goes against their beliefs and there are pushes to extend that that any good or service. But I know you don’t care at all about that, you’d rather have your easy, no thought insults.

If the species survives... it will remember the guilty and the ones who made this situation worse.

You're an optimist; I'm not sure the species will remember writing. Agriculture...probably. Counting...okay. Other record-keeping...reply hazy, try again later.

Use Google.
So, it must not actually be worse for you.

Example, if I were to say "I hate living in apartments I want to move to a house."

And someone asked me what the difference was or what difference there would be,
I could say, " nosy neighbor's that you can hear through the wall in apartments, not having a place for my pets to go outside alone, the neighbor's setting their trash bags right I front of my door etc.
I could give examples,
Because
It's things I have experienced living in apartments.
But since you have no response is have to think that, you have no opinion or information.
I just don't think Google is going to have a lot of information on 'What has Awsome possum experienced differently in his/her life from Obama era presidency and Trump and where would Awsome possum prefer to live rather than the US?'

I agree. The human race can't really go backwards technologically. It's reached a point where most of the easily obtained resources have been taken, so a dark age puts human race, if any survived at all on Earth, into a "wood age" hunter gatherer scenario long term, unless they are extremely careful. Maybe pockets of civilization could hold out, but not against the masses. Good luck finding easy supplies of flint. Humans would devolve into little more than eloi. Maybe its best.

But I suspect if we can get a sustainable human presence off the world in the next century, using in-situ resources independent of earth, it will be dicey, but the human race will survive in new forms. The triumph of the average person, with all their pointless opinions and factoids will amount to nothing. Without a caretaker presence from benevolent technocrats, the human race on Earth is finished.I hope my descendants are long gone from it by then, if they continue on.

People like our flat-earth believer in this thread, are, I suspect, the future of humanity on this planet. Confused, easily manipulated, providing nothing to the greater good besides roving statistics. Ultimately, it won't matter. We've known where the future is since Tsiolkovsky. It's time to go.

No, you were baiting and I didn’t fall for it. I’ve seen your posts, you don’t argue in good faith and aren’t worth my time. It doesn’t prove the validity of your beliefs, if anything they prove how faulty they are since you have to use tricks to make them seem valid.
