On a serious note, what about the toys and merchandise?

I have a few of the Furuta ships. They're cool. I like the Micro Machine ships better though. Mostly because they're smaller.

Nyota, Janice, and M'Ress for me.

I want merchandise on the level of Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars.

Reference books by Dorling Kindersley (maker of the Star Wars books: Incredible Cross Sections, Incredible Locations, Visual Guides)

Toys: Can anyone say shuttlecraft?

Dolls- cloth clothing or molding to the figure; realistic or tooned a'la the LOTR, Star Wars Clone Wars, and Pirates of the Carribean animated style dolls.

Ships, and characters from the Star Trek XI, TOS-R, TAS, TOS movies, and DS9 series.

Ships, and Characters from Comix (Marvel, DC, Malibu, Wildstorm, and IDW),

Prose (Ballantine, and Pocket Books) series such as the DS9 relaunch, SCE, IKS Gorkon, Vanguard, TOS Relaunch, and Star Trek XI series;

RPGs (FASA, Last Unicorn Games, and the Star Fleet Universe),

and video games (Star Trek Vulcan's Glory, Star Trek Kobashysi Alternative, Star Trek Starfleet Command I, Orion Pirates and II; and Star Trek Legacy)

Jon,

I'm with you. I started a thread a while back about one of the kinds of Trek XI toys I feel we MUST see:

Star Trek Transformers.

And Enterprise that transforms into Kirk. Nero transforming into a Romulan Bird of Prey.

That would be fun, cool stuff for kids, and adults who can still be adults who didn't kill their childlike-selves on the way over.

when the movie comes out they will probably license one of the big toy companies to do toys. Hasbro, Mattel or something..

i think they should do 3 3/4 inch figures,.

I want a photo novel. I used to love those.

Good grief, that's showing your age! I had the photo novels to both TMP and TWoK and read those things so many times the bindings fell apart on me...
:rommie:

I wonder if it's too early to start petitioning for a Star Trek XI Technical Manual...

Will the toys be made in China and come with lead or other chemicals?
If you hold the Captain Kirk figure in your mouth long enough, he turns into the date rape drug.
