OMG! They killed ______. You bastards!

Sarcastic Vulcan Salute

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Doing my TNG rewatch, I have recently seen "Ethics," in which Worf was briefly dead during a risky surgery, and "Man of the People," in which Troi was killed so an empathic alien would stop using her to dump his negative emotions on to her.

That made me wonder about how many other times Our Heroes were killed off and brought back from the dead.

In "Time's Arrow," there's a dead-Data head, and in "Tapestry," Q tells Picard that he's dead although who knows.

What others, either from the show or books/comics/etc?

Does Data being deactivated (such as in The Game) or his head being severed but still functional (as in Disaster) count?
Do parallel timelines count ? (Geordi for example being killed in one of the Parallels universes)? Tasha Yar died "for real" and that death wasn't reversed (except a few seasons later it kind of was, by way of a parallel timeline).
Or do deaths count that weren't fully "completed"? For example the disruptor blast making contact with Beverley in that frozen instance of time in Timescape that for sure would have obliterated her had time gone forward even an instant from that point on.

Wesley was killed and healed in "Hide And Q". Same with Worf in the episode.

Data 'died' in Engineering when Geordi examined him in "Contagion".

Worf in "Ethics".

EVERYONE died at least 4 times in "Cause And Effect".

Data in "Time's Arrow, Part II".

Troi in "Man Of The People".

Picard in "Tapestry", though it is possible it was a Q hallucination.

Everyone on the Enterprise except Picard, Troi, Data, and Geordi in "Timescape". (When time resumed and it blew up, only to rewind to a few minutes before while the away team was on the Romulan ship.)

Data in "Thine Own Self".

Riker came close A LOT of times...

"Skin Of Evil" - enveloped by Armus
"Shades of Gray" - the vine bug
"A Matter of Perspective" - Apgar's shot
"First Contact" - beaten by many
"Schisms" - being experimented on in a pocket universe
"Frame of Mind" - he was going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs
STAR TREK NEMESIS - almost falling down the pit

It of course went without saying that Tasha was killed in "Skin of Evil."

I sppose we can also include Geordi and Ro as being declared dead in "The Next Phase."

Two of the three Enterprises were destroyed in "All Good Things", but that could be discounted as either an alternate set of timelines or an illusion.

Picard's tinman heart was failing in "Samaritan Snare". Did it actually stop at any point?

Kahless's balls man, you may as well ask how many times they were transported, or how many women Riker slept with!
