Okay I gave up and gave in...

...and my brother and I are taking my niece to the IMAX 3D showing of the Hobbit. Does anyone know if the Trek preview is still showing at the beginning of it or have they stopped showing it?

TrekMovie.com confirmed that it will be there for the duration of "The Hobbit" Imax 3D screenings.

We saw it. The kids loved it. I was meh. Can't wait for the movie though.

No, I actually liked it. Been thinking about it.... and I loved the individual elements of the preview. I just have reservations about yet another vengeful villain story
