I dont know why this is not discussed more, so ive started a thread for that.

Having just watch Elventh Hour, its clear that Amys house (not unlike James Cordens house) has a 2nd floor.

If you look from the outside, you see a normal 2 story house, 2 rows of windows and a roof.

Yet on the inside we see alot of the 1st floor landing, cleary with stairs coming up, and stairs going down, suggesting at the very least there are rooms in the attic, if not IMO a full 2nd floor.

On the outside there is nothing to suggest that there are rooms in the attic, and even if it was the stair case looks like it was built with the house, not installed after a left conversion.

Cleary the Doctor notices the hidden room, but not the extra floor, also dont think it was ever fully explained how the screwdriver got where it was, maybe this is all future stuff.

Floors are some reason labeled as "Ground, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor"

^There was a whole discussion about this somewhere else. I still say it was a stairway in to the loft.

I dont know about any of you, but all I have is a metal ladder that comes down from the celling to get into my loft, not a full stair case as seen in Amy house.

^It's not really common but there are houses with a staircase in to the loft, especially if was designed with a purpose in mind.

Yeah this was a red herring.

I work in a 5 storey building... but there's a upwards staircase on the 4th floor as well. Should I be concerned?

but there is nothing outward that suggest there is anything in the loft other than standard loft stuff.

HappyDayRiot Could go to the roof, depends on your building.

We need to know where this house is so we can go on street view or get some fan to go and have a look.
I still think there should be a attic window somewhere, because I thought houses of that age only had proper stairs to the attic if it was being used as a another floor ie servants quarters.

that's not the house where Amy lived. that lawn terrace looks more like where she was complaining about 'TWELVE YEARS!'.

Our new house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Mind you, one is only a two piece bathroom. But I'd let them use it for filming Doctor Who. As I'm on the wrong side of the pond however, it's a moot point.

The house does appear on Google Maps, it is the squarish house directly to the west of the pinpoint on the link to Google Maps you posted above, next to the trees. There is also a photo of the house here.

Guys, remember... the inside could easily have been a set in a studio so the interiors we saw may have no relation at all to what the exterior looks like.
