Capt PicKirk how many times must you state your view that River is a mary sue? I think we get it.
Pterodactyl is now an archaic term for pterosaurs. While on the other hand a Pteranodon is a specific species of pterosaur.Something that has been bugging me ever since I began watching "Torchwood", but...... the cartoon in this picture as well as the flying creature at Torchwood, I always thought those were called "Pteranodons" and not "pterodactyls". That it's the former which has the pronounced crest and not the latter.
Anyone able to clarify this?![]()
All Mesozoic flying reptiles are pterosaurs, regardless of crest.
So the sign is technically correct in its association of the image with a pterodactyl.
As many times as I feel like it.![]()
Anyway ... I don't care what River's origins are, she's a fun character. I would like to see a spin-off one day of her traveling through time with pre-mindwipe Donna.
I think the best reveal would be archeologist meeting the Doctor in reverse order. At this point it seems the only unexpected resolution.Anyway ... I don't care what River's origins are, she's a fun character. I would like to see a spin-off one day of her traveling through time with pre-mindwipe Donna.
I don't know if I would want to see a spin off, but I agree, she's a fun character. And in a lot of ways a whole lot of fun NOT knowing who she is.
I'm just nervous the reveal won't be as good as not knowing.
