Check out the registry on the shuttle with the door open behind Paul McGillion.

Could we be seeing the enterprise shuttle bay here? Seems far to big, but the curved shape of the hull and the 1701 markings on the shuttles could mean it is.

Is the whole upper secondary hull devoted to shuttle logistics?

One shuttle says NCC-1701. It's probably the taxi to the Enterprise in orbit. This is probably the shuttlebay at Starfleet Academy. Notice the sun shining in.

Maybe they're just hand holds? A way to brace if you're standing rather than sitting in the Big Chair. Or maybe they're retractable desk lamps which seem to be all the rage in Starfleet for this flick... *snickers*

I was thinking that maybe-- but they don't seem to have free-gloating holograms. Those clear plexi screens on the backside of the bridge have graphics on them and yet you can see thorugh. If they had hologram tech than they wouldn't need the screens.

But I do think they are a throwback to The Cage era bridge where everyone had a little monitor. Maybe not the same literal function in this film, but certainly a design reference.

Huh? In the version I downloaded, 1.43 is a man and woman in white, the woman in white is white, has blond hair and is screaming...

I think I've seen two or three spots in this trailer where the sfx wasn't quite done yet... Looks like they didn't paint out kirks hover bike's tires in all the shots.
