Official Avengers 4 Anticipation Thread

Thanos will remain the main villain . . . right?

While I don't think we technically have confirmation, considering how tight-lipped everything is, I'm pretty sure it's a safe assumption.

Though given comics precedent, we don't necessarily know if in the end they will actually defeat him or he will somehow defeat himself.

I'm kinda getting the feeling he will be around. And he will be a big part of the plot itself, ofcourse. But he won't be so much of a presence as he was in IW. I mean, what are they have him do?
Personally, I'd like scenes where he's going slightly mad in his little hut, talking to Gamorra. Either an illusion in his head, or the Gamorra stuck in the Soul Stone.

Take this with many grains of salt, but someone claims to have seen the first teaser for the new Avengers. Yes, it's a post on 9gag. Most likely it's totally fake. Still, if it turns out to be true....

POSSIBLE SPOILERS IN THIS LINK!!!!!

In the comics, he ended up not being happy just wiping out half the universe...

Speculation is that they're suits used to travel through the Quantum realm. They bare a resemblance to Hank Pyms suit in "Ant-Man and the Wasp"

This must be what the CGI dots represent

Tony's hair?????

I'm guessing Scott falls into a time vortex(Warned by Janet Pym)

Scott arrives a few years in the future after Thanos wiped out half the universe. Tony is older.

Rocket has become part of the Avengers

Scott with Tony and Banner figure out a way to jump time

That makes sense, which goes along with past speculation and bits of information we've seen. The previous image looks more real now that I've had a chance to look on my computer instead of my phone. The above photograph adds credence to that speculation.

If that was for the new suits, I would think they would be in full body mo-cap suits. The way they have the dots on them here makes me think they're just adding small bits or maybe doing something like deaging Tony and Steve to match how they looked in the first Avengers.

Damn. I kind of wish I hadn't looked at that second photo. Sure, people have been speculating that one for some time, but there goes the surprise (for me, anyways).

According to Hollywood Reporter, Joe Russo mentioned during a live-streaming Q&A on Instagram that The Untitled Sequel will have a running time of three hours, which is 20 minutes longer than Infinity War. "We’ll see if that holds."

He didn't say 'will have'. He says 'right now has'. Meaning, it was still an early edit, including rough CGI. They're still editing it. It could end up shorter.
And I'm not sure how I feel about three hours.... I both feel it's too long and it the movie could drag. Then again, there are a lot of characters and a lot of points to get to, so perhaps rushing it it also not a good idea.

Infinity War was essentially one long battle movie. If the new film has more story beats to it and still needs to have enough action scenes then the longer run time makes sense. Is anyone else getting tired of being forced to order small size drinks before going into a super-hero movie?
