I'd heard of feeling bagged before, as in the first link.

My maternal grandparents both used "bagged" to mean full or stuffed following a meal. As in " I'm bagged".

Ugh, that reminds me of the poster who was trying to make a dramatic-sounding entry with "Voila!" Except I guess he didn't know what the word actually was, and he rendered it phonetically as "walla". No exclamation point, either.

Way to go.

On some other site (I can't remember which one), somebody kept insisting that "walla" is a word in Arabic with similar meaning, so he continued spelling it that way and was incredulous even after someone explained the French word.

my sons have friends from all corners of the world, and "walla"/"volla" is indeed an expression
that was used a lot. it means: i Swear on it, as in: its the truth, walla! (also; by God)

I'll accept that, but clearly those two words are not used in the same context. Would you shout "I swear on it!" when pulling the tablecloth out from under the flowers? or when unveiling next year's model of car? Voilà, yes. Walla, no.

It may be a real word, but they're still misusing it.

I always thought "Voila!" was an expression of triumph, like "Look at the cool thing I just did".

Wallah is also a Hindi word meaning someone who does a particular job.
