Honestly, I think you can find slash fiction on just about ANY pairing in the science fiction or fantasy genres. Literally. I stumbled onto this slash fiction stuff about a month or so ago and it really threw me for a loop. I found a whole subset of Trek fans who think Kirk and Spock are gay lovers. Then I found stories that went so far as to pair Harry Potter with Severus Snape and Frodo Baggins with Gandalf the Gray.

I got the feeling I'm the last person on Earth to find out about slash.

If memory serves, I believe that Kirk/Spock is THE original slash couple.

And you don't need slash to produce some major weirdness: for example, for Harry Potter, you can find fanfic for Lucius Malfoy/Ginny Weasley. Yes, you read that right. Ick.
