Well, I finally broke through with my own story. I started the day with maybe six pages. Now, at the end of the day, I have twenty-one. I should have no trouble completing it by the deadline.

I even added a new cliche to the mix.

The Cardassians have recruited a bluegill spawnmother. (The bluegills were previously seen in TNG's "Conspiracy" episode.)

A 200 year old cryogenically preserved bluegill spawnmother is discovered in a decrepit Cardassian version of "Area 51", & revived in order to use her children to retain slaves, aimed toward rebuilding Cardassia Prime.

An inconvenient medical vessel & its crew, the Legacy-Class U.S.S. Mandela, - assigned to assist Cardassians attempting to get back on their feet - inadvertantly finds itself caught in the middle of the fray instead.
