Welcome to the 243rd Trek BBS Fan Art Forum Challenge!

October’s theme chosen by community vote here, is:

Multiversal Mashup
We've all seen various Millennium Falcons done in a Starfleet style, and I recently saw a very good version of a Starfleet Y-Wing. But we don't have to confine our mashups to Star Wars alone, take something from another franchise and redesign it to fit in with the Trek universe.

Which franchise will you choose to mashup with Star Trek will you stay in the sci-fi genre or search further afield? And as we rapidly approach Hallowe'en extra kudos to anyone who can make their entry spookily good.

• only one final image can be submitted (although it may contain multiple views)
• your final entry should be posted in this thread (although dedicated WIP threads are appreciated)

That's looking good. There's no rule that entries have to be the full on finished article, a sketch will do. So, if you want a little time to round it off...

I love the linework you've done for this already, but I don't think I'm familiar with.... Kei? All I'm finding are Kei trucks and various other possibly unrelated anime characters.

Kei is one half of the titular Dirty Pair sci-fi light novels and it's various anime adaptations and even an american comic version (the other half is another young woman named Yuri).

and there are a handful of references to it in TNG specifically, because someone in the production staff was a big fan, such as mineral names, planets in a solar systyem (and the war games taking place in said system being named after the Pair's actual codename, Lovely Angels), and the Exocomps from Quality of Life, which were based on the Pair's robot assistant nanmo.

and i made a comment in the LD "references they should have done" thread about how i wished they just...showed up, even in the background, because that show has a bunch of background gags referencing stuff... and a plotline revolvin around an Exocomp, too.

It's not unusual to extend the challenge by a week. So, if you think you can get something done for the weekend, go for it.

it seems after my brain reset a bit it decided to draw transformers and a quarian and a bunch of little nonsense instead of circle back to this, so i guess we're stuck with the unfinished sketch...
