Kirk's "Legendary Sexual Prowess" and "Seduction Ability" for nearly any BiPaB female was a tactical asset to StarFleet IMO.

Well, it would depend upon their level of technology. If those grey aliens have Voth level technology, for example, the entire Federation may attempt to intervene, but earth/humanity is toast, simple as that. Even if earth appears a few more centuries advanced than they'd initially expected (but still way beyond them), they'd simply bring up the bigger guns to the front in that case,
However, given that these aliens are stupid and therefore probably not particularly advanced (let's say they're on the same level) I would feel Starfleet would liberate their own planets, fight them out of their territory, but take no course beyond that. Well, perhaps ensure a few heavily defended "choke points" to make sure they don't get attacked again in the future.
Oh, given what we saw in 'First Contact', I never felt humanity was stumped back to middle ages entirely. What we saw looked more like a 20th century rural trailer park or some such thing.
