O'Brien out, Leno back in?

I guess Conan and his writers figure if they're getting kicked off they'll stop using kid gloves with the humor level ;) That porno list felt so much more like Late Night.

And conan comes out swinging for the fences.

I wonder if this was recorded before the decision was made to keep Leno and drop Conan. I don't know what time Conan tapes his shows, but if it was before the big news, then tomorrow night's show is going to be a blast.

Ah I see that link I posted has a little transcript now of some of Kimmel's responsed

  • [Asked by Leno what the best prank he ever pulled was] "The best prank I ever pulled was I told a guy that—five years from now—I'm gonna give you my show. And then when the five years came, I gave it to him, and then I took it back almost instantly."
  • [Asked by Leno if he ever orders anything off of the TV] "Like NBC ordered your show off the TV?"
  • [Asked by Leno what the record is for number of lap dances he's received in one night] "Strippers, I don't like in general. Because you have this phony relationship with them for money, similar to that of when you and Conan were on The Tonight Show together, passing the torch... you know what I'm saying."
  • [Asked by Leno what he hasn't yet hosted, but would like to] "Oh, this is a trick, right? Where you get me to host The Tonight Show and then take it back from me?"
  • [Asked why he came on to do the segment] "Listen, Jay, Conan and I have children—all you have to take care of is cars. I mean, we have lives to lead here. You've got $800 million, for God's sakes—leave our shows alone."
It was just pure gold and that last bit was right at the end and Jay was trying to wrap up the segment with just a multiple choice question and Kimmel just launched into it and Leno was just trying to wrap it all up. lol It was awesomely awkward.

The funny part is that obvious most of the people going to the Leno show are Leno fans, but there was like 1 or 2 people in the group just laughing really loudly when most were booing Kimmel. I was cracking up at it.

From what I understand it films in the early afternoon between 3 and 5pm.

Well, since NBC has failed to keep Conan in the loop about his livelihood, he probably didn't know until the tape was done and out.

Wow that Kimmell segment was amazing. Jay seemed a little pissed to me. notice how he made almost no jokes during it, rather monotone.

NBC is very much a useless network now.

Except for the Thursday night sitcoms and Meet the Press, there isn't anything on the NBC network that I am watching on a regular basis.

Well I watch The Vampire Diaries & Supernatural on Thursday and on Sunday...I sleep in

At this point Meet The Press is the only thing worth watching on NBC for me.
