Spoilers 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' series [Spoiler Discussion]

The movie looked just fine to me. It was a sunlit beach compared to the bridge of Discovery.
I think the one scene that bothered me was them getting the boot off the Falcon. Other than that I had no issues.

If I can see the actors acting then I'm pretty satisfied with set lighting.

Many a fan see the series as more about Reva than Obi-Wan.

Meaning fans of the Obi-Wan character wanted to see a series--considering the period of time it takes place--have more scenes of his dealing with the aftermath of ROTS (more than that 1st episode), more interaction with Luke--enough that he would even know of him as "old Ben", etc. With only one episode left, and he's spent next to no time with any interaction with the Lars (save for E1's moments), it is the reason some SW fans are not at all finding this to be what one would have imagined in a Obi-Wan series.
The Mandalorian was a sense of fresh air to the Star Wars Universe but as it continued the ticks and clichés kept creeping in. This trend spread through Boba Fett and now Obi-Wan; its about elevating the Disney company's princesses as they bait and switch to draw in viewers. How many people are looking forward to seeing a Reva series?

I wonder what directions Reva's character could go in now? Maybe spend some time in self-imposed exile trying to make peace with "The Force." Or forswearing "The Force" altogether. Maybe joining up with a Rebellion cell in a low-key way. But then someone recognizes her from her Inquisitorius days, and the plot thickens.

I am. I like the idea of the character. Lot of potential for a wandering Force user try to make peace with their past.
I don’t know, but I’m definitely up for a Young Leia Organa Chronicles starring VLB.
Could be fun. More Alderaan please.
Screw Reva and Young Leia. I'd MUCH rather get a Fennic Shand series with Ming-Na, if we have to go the Disney Princess route.
Screw Fennic Shand. She can go pound sand. What a miserable character with no fun in them.

I wouldn’t mind. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of Star Wars material coming out now, though.

I only keep up with the movies and TV shows. I haven't read any of the novels or comics that have been released since Disney took over. Once in the while I might look at a plot synopsis on Wookieepedia or something.

I don’t largely have a problem with what’s happening with Star Wars right now. I also wouldn’t mind a break from it for a bit. I think Lucas knew what he was doing with 10+ years between trilogies.

I'm ambivalent about the upcoming Andor series. I really liked Rogue One (for which Andor is a prequel), but after watching the trailer, I'm just kind of "meh" about it. My internal voice simply said, "So what?" I'll give it a try, but I'm not expecting great things by any stretch.

I would prefer a one-shot Reva movie on Disney+--not a series, as the character cannot carry six episodes.

Yeah, young Leia in the Kenobi series was more than enough; too much exposure will only lead to more inconsistencies or stories we know have little to no consequence on Leia's future life.

I am extremely ambivalent about Andor, largely owing to my lukewarm view of the character from Rogue One. But Kenobi and Solo both show how much I enjoy this period in Star Wars history so I will be interested to see what happens with it, at least at a macro level.

Do I expect great things? No, but then, I don't expect great Star Wars content after the OT. I am quite satisfied with being entertained and engaged with characters, which Kenobi and the ST did better for me than the PT, though Kenobi has informed the PT better so it might be worth a revisit.

Disney thinks a lot of it. There are 12 episodes in the season so they must feel there's one Helluva story to tell and Diego Luna will help drive it.

It would appear so and, while it may be premature, IMDB also shows a second season of 12 unnamed episodes listed. Someone out there seems to think it’s going to last quite a long time. We shall see…
